About Silkscreening The silk screening process involves several steps. First, a design is created and separated into the different component colors. Then each different color separation is transferred to a light sensitive film during the exposure process. This film is used on a silk screen in order to make a print on the desired material. -ZAT Graphics' policy is to keep all screens for a minimum of 1 year from the date of creation. Designs While most designs can be exposed onto silk screens, many require simplification of colors and shades, called posterizing. This allows the colors to be color separated and each color exposed on to individual screens for printing. If a multi-color or photo-realistic graphics is desired, a heat transfer may be the best choice for an attractive garment.
